Marketing Internship - Furniture
I was interested in applying to a position at REHAU because of its international business qualities. With my background in Political Science and English, I thought that the Marketing Internship would be a great opportunity to utilize my skills in an international environment.
My first day at REHAU was great. As soon as I met my supervisor, Jesse Collins, and everyone else in my department, I knew that this internship would be a great fit for me. I developed a fantastic relationship with Jesse, and she gave me the freedom to give my input on different projects and decisions.
My favorite part about my intern position was the diverse range of projects I was able to work on. I wrote project profiles, press releases, trend articles, blogs, mailing content and social media content. The most notable article I wrote was about the Chicago White Sox, who used REHAU’s RAUVISIO terra surface in their new visitor’s clubhouse. I was also given the opportunity to begin the research and development of a brand new surface solutions program that is planned to launch in the coming months.
With this position, I gained skills that have reached beyond my studies of Political Science and English. Working at REHAU has allowed me to see economic and business concepts applied firsthand in a global environment. I learned a lot of new skills and different forms of writing that have transcended beyond my studies at school. I feel more confident in my more well-rounded writing ability that I have been able to create at REHAU, and I know it will be useful in the future.
I gained responsibility and freedom to explore new ideas, as I ventured into different projects during my internship. I am satisfied with my portfolio of work and the marketing, writing and business skills that I have gained from this internship.
