REHAU has been voluntarily disclosing details on climate-related activities in cooperation with the CDP since 2014 in order to support the non-profit organization in promoting climate protection through the greatest possible transparency. The analysis of the environmental data was published at the beginning of December. The result: REHAU belongs to the management level with a rating of B.
CDP annually evaluates the environmental performance of companies, cities, states and regions and assigns climate scores on a scale from A to F. The REHAU Group was awarded a grade of B this year. The rating is thus both above the global average of B- and above the average for the manufacture of plastic products sector of B-.
„The evaluation shows once again how well we work together as the REHAU Group and focus on progress. In 2018, we received a D rating and have steadily increased since then. We are more than proud of this, but we will continue to look for potential improvements and implement them.“
Andreas Pinkernelle, sustainability officer at REHAU Automotive
The non-profit organization CDP was founded in London in 2000 with the aim of promoting more sustainable business practices through transparency and awareness. It now maintains the largest environmental database in the world and thus helps investors, companies and cities to make conscious decisions in favor of sustainable organizations. This year, CDP evaluated climate data from approximately 13,000 companies.
The REHAU Group works continuously to improve its reporting and evaluations and maintains an active exchange with the most important agencies and consulting companies. With the published assessment, CDP recognizes the quality, the process and the transparency of the data that REHAU publishes in the annual climate report.
