EVERLOC+ compression-sleeve fitting system now available in diameters up to 2 inch

REHAU announces the expansion of its new EVERLOC+^® compression-sleeve fitting system to include 1 1/4, 1 1/2 and 2 inch diameters for commercial plumbing and hydronic piping applications. Designed for use with RAUPEX^® PEXa pipe, EVERLOC+ features both polymer and lead-free brass fittings and power tools for making secure, reliable and cost-competitive connections. 

“We are pleased that we are now able to offer our advanced EVERLOC+ fitting system in diameters up to 2 inch to service the commercial market,” said Mike Dietrich, vice president of the building solutions division at REHAU. “EVERLOC+ is a polymer and lead-free brass fitting solution, based on our proven and highly secure compression-sleeve technology, that installs more quickly and cost effectively than traditional piping systems,” he said.

An EVERLOC+ connection is made using a two-step expansion and compression process performed by an EVERLOC+ power tool. First, the pipe is expanded, then the sleeve is actively compressed over the pipe and fitting for a secure connection that is immediately ready for pressure testing.

“EVERLOC+ is uniquely designed for safety, reliability and cost savings,” said Jonathan Bittenbender, engineering director of the building solutions division at REHAU. “Employing one consistent technique across all sizes  eliminates many of the complications that can occur during plumbing installations.”

“The EVERLOC+ fitting features four sealing edges and a textured PEXa compression sleeve that grips tightly for added security. In addition, all sizes of EVERLOC+ fittings can be installed in any temperature and all types of weather without incurring additional installation time,” said Bittenbender.

EVERLOC+ fittings in diameters 1 1/4 to 2 inch are assembled using the EVERLOC+ XL power tool which performs the two-step expansion and compression process for fitting connection. An additional EVERLOC+ XL expander tool – which performs only the expansion step – is offered to increase the efficiency of larger installation crews.

“Commercial crews who participated in our pilot projects were impressed by the installation speed and surprised by how easily the large-diameter EVERLOC+ XL power tools could be maneuvered into tight spots,” said Bittenbender.

EVERLOC+ polymer compression-sleeve fittings and RAUPEX PEXa pipe are manufactured exclusively by REHAU and backed by a 25-year limited warranty. Offered by distributors throughout the United States and Canada, EVERLOC+ meets all applicable US and Canadian building codes and lead-free requirements.

The EVERLOC+ fitting system includes couplings, tees, elbows, transition fittings, multi-port tees and accessories in sizes up to 2 inch. EVERLOC+ polymer fittings are produced from a polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) material, and lead-free brass fittings are produced from ECO Brass^® (UNS C69300). The EVERLOC+ power tools feature color-coded, quick-change expander heads and compression jaws. Jaws can be positioned in various orientations to accommodate many installation scenarios.
