REHAU inaugurates new plant in Celaya, México

“Now that we can offer windows 100 percent made in México, we expect to make PVC widely available in multi-family and single-family residences, reducing energy costs and enhancing quality of life,” said Fabian. “We see great potential for our new social housing line that is not only designed for this market, but also produced here, ready to be delivered fast.”

Stephan Joachim, general manager of REHAU México and Central América, commented on the start of production at the new facilities. “Over the course of the last year, our staff have been training and preparing, and are fully ready to deliver on the quality promise that distinguishes REHAU,” he said. Joachim further commented that the new plant represents the company’s continuous growth, innovative spirit and commitment to becoming a more competitive supplier to the growing demand in the local market.

The new plant has already begun extruding REHAU slider window profiles and domestic appliance and commercial refrigeration profiles that share the same production processes. The REHAU slider window is designed primarily for the social housing segment, and features ease of installation as well as the acoustic and thermal insulation characteristic of all REHAU systems. The system also incorporates a new formulation patented by REHAU based on titanium dioxide which resists the high values of solar radiation in the region. All REHAU window profiles are available in 10 standard colors and practically any color upon request.

Founded in 1948 in Rehau, Germany, the privately-held company now has more than 170 locations and approximately 20,000 employees worldwide.
