At the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin, REHAU is presenting its latest developments in the field of power rail for underground and suburban railways in the Railway Infrastructure segment. For more than 40 years, the company has been convincing investors and planners all over the world with modular solutions and completely customised developments.

International customers benefit from support throughout the entire product life cycle - from conception, detailed planning and development to training of installation teams, construction supervision and system integration into the overall project. Strict quality controls according to DIN EN ISO 9001 from incoming materials to outgoing goods ensure the quality of the products and compliance with the agreed material and component properties.

Investments around the globe

In order to serve infrastructure projects all over the world, REHAU is currently investing several million euros in production, starting with a new production line for power rail composites at the headquarters in Rehau. The company is also continuing to build up capacity for local markets with investments in Asia.

"With these highly automated production lines, we can respond optimally to the increased order intake in the coming years," explains Lee Gregory, Director of Subdivision Railway Solutions. "Currently, the lines in various European cities - such as Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, London, Rotterdam, Ankara or Helsinki - are running with the REHAU 3rd Rail systems. But explicitly the international demand is growing steadily: projects in Kolkata (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) as well as a rapid transit system between Malaysia and Singapore are among the REHAU references", Lee Gregory continues.

Smart solutions for window systems

Another visitor attraction at the fair is the railway of the future, presented by DB Regio with its 22.5-metre-long train model and 12 theme worlds. As a cooperation partner of the "Ideenzug City", REHAU not only presents its conductor rail systems, but also shows innovative solutions for the interior: intelligent solutions for window systems with individual shading or fire protection components with self-extinguishing edgebands for the interior.
