75 years of REHAU: More than just a business

This is how we put trust into practice with our customers

These are the meetings that give Carsten Heuer a deep sense of satisfaction. This year, the division manager of REHAU Window Solutions (WS) celebrated a special partnership in Pesaro, Italy, with National Manager Ivano Poletti and Sales Manager Nicola Lorenzo. The main Italian customer Tecnoplast was not only celebrating its 20th anniversary there – but also 20 years of joint success with WS.

“Our successful partnership is characterized by a high level of commitment and exceptional achievements,” says Carsten. “In close cooperation with REHAU WS, Tecnoplast has made it into the top three in the Italian market in 20 years. The local REHAU team has always ensured high product quality as well as modern services.” This credo applies to numerous long-standing customer relationships.

Special relationships

Many of these partnerships have existed for many years, if not decades. The Austrian company Hasslinger, for example, a leading manufacturer of windows and doors, a fourth-generation family business, has been one of REHAU’s customers since 1977 and is just one example of these trusting relationships. Like the one with Nissan in Mexico, associated with REHAU for more than 20 years.

Well on the way to an equally long partnership: REHAU Industrial Solutions has been working with Austwide Plastics, one of the largest Australian manufacturers of refrigerator gaskets, for 32 years. “REHAU has always been efficient and trustworthy, which, together with the quality of the products, is the reason we have stayed with them,” he says.

Building trust by doing the right thing

This deep-rooted trust is also confirmed by OPPEIN Home Group Inc. from China, one of the largest furniture companies in the country and a REHAU customer since 2004. “REHAU always keeps its promises.” Victory Comforts, a retailer of furniture accessories from Bengaluru in India, confirms this verdict after 24 years as a REHAU customer: “REHAU helped us to familiarize ourselves with the products from the very beginning. "They trained us regularly and informed us about market trends, and our feedback was also taken into account in a positive way. This means that we have felt in good hands at REHAU over all these years.”

“The words that customers from all over the world are sending us on the occasion of our anniversary make me proud,” says Dr. Uwe Boehlke, CEO of REHAU Industries. “At the same time, they are a reminder to all of us in the Group not to ease up when it comes to being close to our customers.”

Building Solutions (BS) has recently moved even closer to its customers – a new website and an image film have made the division even more accessible. The promise within it all: BS takes construction projects to the next level. Rich Coppola, department manager for hydronics at US distributor Western Nevada Supply, a REHAU customer for 30 years, confirms the division's consistently reliable work: “REHAU has been a constant partner and product supplier for 30 years. It offers tried-and-tested, high-quality products, coupled with first-class support from its sales and planning team. We will remain loyal to REHAU no matter what.”

This positive feedback doesn't just happen by chance – it comes not least as a result of the performance of those employees in the sales areas who are in contact with customers, selling products, sealing contracts, cultivating relationships. They also take critical feedback seriously, identify and solve problems. As a sales representative at REHAU in North America, Adam Rucker is responsible for the long-standing customer Minnkota Windows, where he has established an extremely trusting relationship. He was therefore allowed to participate in one of the customer's commercials. “That really meant a lot to me,” says Adam. “One of the key questions I was asked was about our long business relationship. We don't just sell them products, the personal relationship is also crucial.”

Growing with the customer, interacting with each other in a constructive way – and thereby developing perfect solutions for different conditions – is what Erick Kafie from Proimi, a furniture manufacturer in the Caribbean, describes. “REHAU has supported us with various different materials over the years. This has resulted in a great cooperation that has made us one of the largest REHAU dealers in Central America,” he says.
