For many years, REHAU has relied on responsible action and is successively expanding its sustainability strategy. REHAU CEO William Christensen has now signed the UN Global Compact. As a member of the world's largest and most important initiative for responsible corporate management, the company is clearly committed to sustainability.
The challenges for commercial enterprises in a global context are increasing. REHAU therefore intends to make its sustainability activities more visible in the future and is sending a clear signal by signing the UN Global Compact. "As a family business, REHAU has been committed to a sustainable corporate policy for years. The responsible use of resources is as important to us as diversity and long-term, sustainable growth," emphasizes William Christensen, CEO of the REHAU Group.
The UN Global Compact is the world's largest and most important initiative for responsible corporate governance. It is a kind of seal of approval in the area of sustainability. The vision is a sustainable global economy based on ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment & climate and corruption prevention. The network supports companies and organizations in aligning their strategies and activities with sustainability goals and the vision of the UN Global Compact. More than 13,500 companies and organizations worldwide have already joined the UN Global Compact, which not only exchanges knowledge but also reports regularly and transparently on its measures and progress.
The UN is convinced that global challenges can only be mastered together, which is also reflected in the Agenda 2030 adopted in 2015. Building on the ten principles, the focus is on 17 goals, the so-called Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). REHAU focuses on the topics of recycling management, climate protection, sustainable growth and diversity.
