Atlas Holdings announced today the formation of RESRG Automotive (“RESRG”), a global supplier of coated exterior systems and components to automotive OEMs established with the closing of Atlas’ previously announced acquisitions of REHAU Automotive and SRG Global. The REHAU Group, the former parent of REHAU Automotive, will partner with Atlas in the new company through a minority ownership stake in RESRG.
The company will be led by Chief Executive Officer Jeff Stafeil. Dr. Markus Distelhoff, the former CEO of REHAU Automotive, will be responsible for the Europe and Africa business of the new company.
With 10,000 associates across 22 production sites worldwide, RESRG combines SRG Global’s leading integrated, functional decorative systems for the automotive, mobility, and commercial truck industries with REHAU Automotive’s high-quality exterior, bumper, and polymer functional systems.
“The automotive industry remains an area where we see continuing opportunity, especially during this current period of uncertainty and volatility,” said Atlas Managing Partner Jacob Hudson. “We have a long history of investing in automotive suppliers and working with talented and experienced business leaders to position these companies for long-term growth, and that is our intention with REHAU Automotive and SRG Global through the creation of RESRG Automotive. The formation of RESRG will honor the proud histories of these two great companies and build upon their legacies as suppliers of choice to automakers globally.”
“The combination of REHAU Automotive and SRG Global creates a leading global supplier with a highly complementary footprint, unique set of capabilities and trusted customer relationships, which, together, position RESRG for long-term success. REHAU and SRG bring a combined 160 years of experience to their work, serving the world’s leading automakers with unparalleled capabilities. I’m honored to lead RESRG, and look forward to getting started,” said Jeff Stafeil, CEO of RESRG Automotive.
"The REHAU Group is proud of the good reputation that REHAU Automotive has built, and we look forward to seeing RESRG Automotive thrive as a partner of Atlas Holdings," emphasizes Dr. Veit Wagner, President of the REHAU Group.
"The expanded product portfolio and global presence provide us with better access to markets and promising prospects," adds Dr. Markus Distelhoff, RESRG Automotive President EMEA.
