RAUTITAN, RAUFUSION and RAUPIANO PLUS achieve Green Building product certification

RAUTITAN, RAUFUSION and RAUPIANO PLUS plumbing systems have achieved Green Building product certification from the Singapore Green Building Council. The Singapore Green Building Council champions capability development and innovative solutions that support industry transformation, enabling sustainability across the building and construction value chain. The certification scheme aims to raise the environmental standards of building products and services, and provides benchmarks on environmental performance of products and services.

For REHAU, achieving the Green Building product certification brings business value as RAUTITAN, RAUFUSION and RAUPIANO PLUS are now listed in the Singapore Green Building Council public directory and repository of proven green building solutions. This directory is accessible to developers and builders to encourage green procurement in the industry, and profiles leading and innovative solutions that go towards building a greener, healthier built environment.

The certification scheme is one of the elements of the Singapore Green Building Masterplan that aims to foster a leading green Built Environment sector which can lower its carbon footprint and provide a healthy, liveable and sustainable Built Environment for everyone. It aims to deliver three key targets of “80-80-80 in 2030”.

• 80% of buildings by Gross Floor Area to be green by 2030;
• 80% of new developments by GFA to be Super Low Energy buildings from 2030; and
• 80% improvement in energy efficiency for best-in-class green buildings by 2030

The Singapore Green Building Master plan forms part of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 which charts ambitious and concrete targets over the next 10 years, strengthening Singapore’s commitments under the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Paris Agreement to achieve long-term net zero emissions.
