Minneapolis kitchen steps up style with RAUVISIO brilliant cabinets
“Because the layout of the kitchen was small, we had to put a lot of things into the space and use every inch. The reflective material helped open up the kitchen and the white made the space feel airy, creating a simple look that is not too busy."
“Everyone who comes to the house always comments on the kitchen because of the great contrast of crisp white against the other finishes.”

Minneapolis homeowners, Stuart and Julie Smith, wanted to transform their small kitchen into a stylish space that was practical and uplifting. In order to accommodate multiple cooks, places for kids to do homework and a dinner table for family meals, space utilization was their biggest challenge.
To make the most of the space, Rena Feldman of Inview Interior Design chose the REHAU RAUVISIO brilliant Bianco surface for all of the upper-level kitchen cabinets. “Because the layout of the kitchen was small, we had to put a lot of things into the space and use every inch. The reflective material helped open up the kitchen and the white made the space feel airy, creating a simple look that is not too busy,” said Feldman.
Combining style and function is one thing that distinguishes REHAU custom cabinet doors. “The RAUVISIO high-gloss finish has a contemporary look that fits the style really well and juxtaposes the walnut wooden cabinetry in the kitchen and dining area,” commented Feldman. A Cambria Annicca quartz wrap-around countertop and oiled oak floors complete the look.
In terms of function, Feldman referred to RAUVISIO as an “excellent choice of material because it is clean and simple.” It is durable and UV-resistant, allowing the glossy surface to keep its color and shine. “Overall, it was a great choice from both an aesthetic and functional perspective,” said Feldman.
With a view of a private wooded backyard and the enhancement of the RAUVISIO high-gloss finish, Feldman says that this Minneapolis kitchen is “not your everyday kitchen. It has a distinct look that people notice,” said Feldman. “Everyone who comes to the house always comments on the kitchen because of the great contrast of crisp white against the other finishes.”
Perfect for quality cooking and quality family time, the simplicity of this cozy space along with its European high-gloss flair puts this kitchen in a league of its own.
