REHAU Authorised Partner, The Green Building Store, manufactured and fitted REHAU uPVC windows and doors to a new housing development in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The development’s owner, Compusoft, chose REHAU uPVC systems for their superior quality and thermal efficiency.
The townhouses were built close to the company’s offices in Vereeniging for Compusoft employees who do not own a home. The project consisted of 170 casement windows and 18 sliding doors supplied in white uPVC profiles.
The windows and doors were fitted with standard 6.38mm laminated safety glass (single glazing) to ensure that the comfort level inside the homes stays cosy in both summer and winter. Using uPVC profiles alleviated the need for expensive coated glass to achieve the required thermal values.
Jürgen Schairer, MD of The Green Building Store: “The support I received from Tony O’Neill and Peter Graddon from REHAU Polymer (Pty) Ltd was pivotal in the successful installation of the windows and doors. The project was completed without a hitch, to the satisfaction of Compusoft.”
REHAU uPVC windows and doors are very durable, UV stable and energy efficient. They can also be fitted with high security locking mechanisms. The low maintenance uPVC profiles will not warp, chalk, discolour, crack or need varnishing, painting or sanding.
