Purposes and legal basis of data processing
The data processing in the context of your application is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 I b GDPR for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.
Your personal data entered here will be used directly for the selection of suitable candidates. Your e-mail address is required for registration to handle the application process and to contact you in the course of your application. Against this background, your entered data will be used exactly for the position for which you applied and to check your suitability for any other positions at REHAU.
It may also be necessary for REHAU to conduct telephone interviews, online tests and/or video interviews in order to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. REHAU works together with external service providers to whom the data of your application required for these measures are transmitted.
Which data are collected?
If you would like to apply for a position at REHAU, you will be asked for various personal data (name, address, e-mail address, etc.). Additionally, questions relevant to the position will be asked if necessary. A CV is also required for an application within our company.
Please note that your data will not be kept anonymous and will be made available to our personnel department.
The data collected can be verified by REHAU and completed with the information determined in the application process (e.g. job interviews, assessments or references). REHAU may also request additional personal information from you, such as your date of birth, your telephone number, IP address, experience/profiles/responsibilities from your current or previous employment, training, job and development interests, personal qualifications and skills, education, language skills, information about your mobility, professional memberships and references.
Who processes your data?
Personal data are only transmitted to our own servers or to either internal or external service providers within and outside Germany or the EU. This data transfer to branches or external service providers outside the EEA takes place either on the basis of an adequacy decision by the Commission (Art. 45 III GDPR) or on the basis of standard data protection clauses (Art. 46 II c GDPR), which contain appropriate guarantees for the data subject.
The text of the standard protection clauses is published at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj.
A data transfer also takes place to service providers within the EU or EEA who support REHAU in the selection of applicants. This particularly concerns external service providers for the planning of job interviews, preliminary talks and other tasks in connection with the application process. These service providers are contractually bound to the support required by our personnel departments at REHAU. They are subject to the same data protection requirements as REHAU itself and are contractually bound to treat your personal data confidentially. Data are transmitted exclusively for the purpose intended in the application process.
The information you provide will be treated confidentially and will only be passed on to those persons who are involved in the specific application process.
Success Factors is one of these external partners who takes over the hosting of our applicant portal. REHAU has commissioned Success Factors to host the applicant portal in order to ensure a technically flawless application process. Personal data and other information that you have provided in connection with your application and/or registration in our applicant portal will be transmitted to the Success Factors servers in Germany. Success Factors is contractually bound to the confidential handling of your data.
Modern encryption techniques are used to transmit your data over the Internet.

As part of the application process, we also offer you the opportunity to contact us by telephone, e-mail or WhatsApp where you can ask questions or share other information. Please note the different data protection levels of the individual tools (e.g. https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/ for WhatsApp). You should only use these channels to share with us information that does not pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms. REHAU reserves the right to change the communication channel you select in individual cases in order to guarantee maximum data security for you.

Your data will be automatically deleted within six months after completion of the specific application procedure, unless an employment contract has been concluded.
